Bradbury Mountain Challenge Sunday, June 5, 2005

COURSE:
Maine backcountry forest with 12 miles of varied terrain, including pristine single track, high-speed snowmobile trails, and just enough climbing to know you are in Maine. Food for purchase will be available.

This race is a part of the EFTA NECS series as well as the Maine Mountain Bike Series. New 2005 EFTA age categories will be followed for this event. Bradbury Mountain State Park, Pownal, Maine Just 2 hours north of Boston off I-295

Age Categories: Junior - 12-17, Senior I - 18-26, Senior II - 27-34, Veteran I - 35-41, Veteran II - 42-49, Master - 50+.

Classes: First Timer, Clydesdale Novice (200+ pounds), Novice (Men and Women), Junior Novice (Men and Women), Clydesdale Sport, Sport (Men and Women), Junior Sport (Men and Women), Expert (Men and Women), Junior Expert (Men and Women), Male Single Speed (open), Female Single Speed (open), Tandem (open).

Staggered Mass Start at the following times:
9:30 a.m. All Novice, First timers - 1 lap (12 miles)
10:15 a.m. All Sport, Single Speed, Tandem, and Expert - 2 laps (24 miles)
1:00 p.m. Kids

EFTA LICENSE: * EFTA license required. License may be purchased day of race or on line at www.efta.com. One-day license is $4.00, annual license is $24.00. Click Here to Join

Bike Reg
REGISTRATION: Register online at www.bikereg.com. Online registration closes at midnight June 1st. Day of event registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 10:00 a.m.

Pre-registration $25 (on or before June 1st)
Day of race $30 (and after June 1st)
Free - First Timer (Maine residents) and Kids Fun Race

AWARDS: Merchandize and cash

KIDS RACE: Kids race (11 and under) starts at 1:00 p.m. and includes a short course. There is a prize for each racer. Kids race for free, and EFTA license fee is waived.

First timers that are Maine residents race free and EFTA license fee is waived. Registration and release form must be completed and signed.

DIRECTIONS:
From North or South: I-295 to Exit 22, Freeport. Follow signs 4 miles to Bradbury Mountain State Park.
